Bruce E. Sunday, 93, of Clifton Park, beloved husband of the late Helen Hess Sunday, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020.
Born in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Edward Sunday and the late Etta Reed Mengel. He was a graduate of John Harris High School in Harrisburg, PA.
Bruce retired after 30 years of having been employed at Town & Country in Harrisonburg, VA as Retail Manager. He had also been employed by the Harrisonburg Auto Auction.
Mr. Sunday enjoyed reading, Big Band Music and visiting with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of the Elks Club in Harrisonburg, Va.
Devoted father of Debra (Herbert) Marlow of Clifton Park and Steven (Melva) Sunday of Myrtle Beach, SC, brother of the late Jean Williver, cherished grandfather of Michael (Jamie), Christopher (Melissa), Matthew (Kim), and Elizabeth (Nick), adored great grandfather of Katie, Kyle, Abby, Josh, Caleb, Zoe and Hazel, also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Until restrictions subside, the funeral will be private and the future visitation and memorial service will be held at a time to be announced.
Bruce’s family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all the Glendale Home staff and especially the Staff on Erie Crossing for the loving care given to Bruce.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205, or to the Glendale Home Activities Department, 59 Hetcheltown Rd., Scotia, NY 12302 in memory of Bruce E. Sunday.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 RT-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
