Obituary of George P. Ostwald, Jr.

George P. Ostwald, Jr., 79, a resident of Saratoga Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Malta, entered into eternal life on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Center.
Born in Troy, he is the son of the late George P. and Clementine Valenti Ostwald, Sr.
He was educated in the Troy schools. George was employed as a boiler maker for Local #197 in Albany for many years until retiring.
George is survived by his loving wife, Barbara A. Moore Ostwald, whom he married on January 1, 1958, father of George P. (Deborah) Ostwald III, Anthony Ostwald, Kimberly (Leo) Shepard and Debra (Gary) Fields, brother of Katherine (Theodore) Cantanucci and the late Rita Christiano, grandfather of Jason, Meaghan, Justin, Cole, Brock, Michael, Daniel (Lisa) Shepard, great grandfather of Nora and Grant, brother-in-law of Nick Christiano.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route Nine in Clifton Park on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral Service will follow beginning at 4:00 p.m.
Interment will be held in the Spring in Jonesville Cemetery, Clifton Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in George's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, NENY Chapter, The Meadows, Suite 2, 140 City Highway 33, West Cooperstown, New York 13326.
