Obituary of Karen McCann

Karen McCann, 74,  of Applewood Drive passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 15, 2022 at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness.  She was born on Feb. 23, 1948 in Niagara Falls and was the beloved daughter of the late Michael and Beatrice (Magno) Petrazzoulo.  She was educated in the Niagara Falls School system and was a graduate of Niagara Falls Community College.  She had been a Real Estate Broker in Washington DC for many years before retiring.  Karen had a love for painting many outdoor scenes. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, sailing the Chesapeake Bay, family gatherings, and had been a communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Ushers.

Karen was the devoted wife, mother and grandmother of the late Robert McCann, David Donovan, Kristen Donovan and Ashley Montgomery.  She is the dear sister of Deborah Roche of Halfmoon, Michael Petrazzoulo of Rensselaer and the late Sandy Petrazzoulo; cherished grandmother of Michael John Donovan (Heather), Matthew Donovan, Michaela Darby-Donovan and  Annaliese Darby-Donovan, and great grandmother of Dalton, Nicole , Grayson, Ben and Autumn; Aunt of Lisa Kuprian, Megan Root, Heather Richards and Michelle Lawrence.

Funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 am from Corpus Christi Church in Ushers where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-7 pm in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.
