Obituary of James P. Riggins, Jr.

James P. “Jim” Riggins, Jr., 65, of Great Barrington, MA, formerly of Troy, peacefully entered into eternal life on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA.

Born in Troy, James, Jr., affectionately known as “Jim” is the son of James P. and Pearl Henry Riggins, both of Troy.

In addition to his beloved parents; Pearl and James, Jim is the devoted and loving brother of Dorraine Riggins, Geraldine (Gary) Stevens, Steven M. (Linda) Riggins and Rochelle Riggins, also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Home Going Service on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., Bethel Baptist Church, 2165 Fifth Ave, Troy and to the Visitation which will be held at the church earlier that morning from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

Interment will be held in Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.

The Riggins family wishes to extend their most sincere gratitude to Fairview Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, as well as Berkshire Medical Center for their compassionate care and well-being of our beloved Jim.
