Obituary of Robert S. Smith, Jr.

Robert S. Smith, Jr., 75, of Vosburgh Road died on Sunday June 26, 2022 at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness.  He was born in Albany on Oct. 2,1946 and was the son of the late Robert S. and Violet Schreck Smith, Sr.  Bob had been a Key and Tool manager for Siena College in Loudonville, having worked for the college for over 25 years.  Earlier Bob was a truck driver for Consolidated Fibers and Albany Asphalt.  He enjoyed wood working, making signs and NASCAR.  He was a NY Mets and Siena Basketball Fan and had been a communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Ushers.  But most important to Bob was the love of his family. 

He is the beloved husband of Patricia Arcuri Smith; devoted father of Brian P. (Rebecca) Smith of Ballston Spa; brother of the late Margaret Valyou; cherished grandfather of Leanne, Briana and Kirsten Smith.

Funeral will be held on Wednesday July 6^th at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s of the Angels Chapel at Siena College in Loudonville where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00am Wednesday in the chapel prior to the Mass.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont, NY.
