Obituary of Elizabeth Carr

Elizabeth Carr, 80, of Troy, peacefully entered into eternal life on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

Born and educated in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Rhina Johnson Carr.

Ms. Carr had been a Nurse’s Aide at the Albany County Nursing Home in Colonie for many years and most recently as a CNA working through an agency.

Elizabeth loved going shopping, driving and worshipping at Bethlehem Temple Church  where she was an Usher.

Beloved mother of William Anthony Carr, loving sister of Sarah Johnson and the late Ernest Carr, Jesse Carr, William RJ Carr (wife, Flora), Clarence Carr, Louise Carr and Bessie Carr, Cherished aunt of Angela Carr, Lachana Johnson, Frances Carr, Denise Carr, Maurice Carr and Kenneth Carr, Donna Carr and Dale Carr, also survived by a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Temple Church, 366 Second Street Troy, NY 12180 followed by her Home Going Service that morning at 11:00 a.m. in the Church.

Interment will be held in Elwood Hill Cemetery, Troy.

Elizabeth’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to her family and Bethlehem Temple Church for their prayers, love and support.

Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to Bethlehem Temple Church, 366 Second St., Troy, NY 12180 in memory of Elizabeth Carr.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the John J. Sanvidge Funeral Home, Inc., 565 Fourth Avenue, Troy, New York 12182.
