Obituary of Nancy Jane Herold

Nancy Jane Herold, 82, of Grooms Rd., died on Thursday August 24, 2017, the 60th. wedding Anniversary of she and her beloved husband, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.   She was born on March 25, 1935 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Allen and Ruth Harter Moulton.  Nancy graduated from Oneonta Teachers College in Oneonta, NY and was the wife of Eugene A. Herold who survives.  She taught school at the Clifton Park Center Baptist Church Nursery for over 25 years, the school she helped establish and direct. She was a lifelong very active member of Clifton Park Center Baptist Church, having served in many capacities.  She was a Deacon, Trustee, member of the Board of Christian Education, and a Sunday School teacher.  In addition to all of her activities, Nancy was a housewife and homemaker who enjoyed gardening, reading, and walking.  She was an avid dog lover and also worked with her husband as an exhibitor at the Saratoga County Fair.

 She is the devoted mother of Judy A. (Michael) Higgins of Halfmoon, Amy Jane (Sean) Keaveney of Charlotte, NC and Deborah L. Deyoe of Clifton Park; cherished grandmother of Katie (Chris) Plume, Amity Higgins, Adam Higgins, Jennifer Deyoe and Jessica Deyoe; great grandmother of Hudson Plume; sister of Charlotte (the late Don) Calabrese of Victor, NY; also survived by several nephews.

Funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at Clifton Park Center Baptist Church, 713 Clifton Park Center Rd. Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Calling hours will be from 3-6 pm Sunday in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.

Interment will be in Clifton Park Center Baptist Cemetery, Clifton Park, NY.
