Obituary of Dean Robert Pausley

Dean Robert Pausley, 71, of Cooper Avenue, died peacefully on Saturday Nov. 17, 2018 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.  He was born on July 7, 1947 in Albany and was the son of the late William and Anna Smullen Pausley.  Dean was a graduate of Vincentian Institute in Albany, class of 1965 and had attended Hudson Valley Community College.  He was an Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War with the Military Police, and had retired from Uncle Sam Piping Solutions in 2012.

Dean is the beloved husband of Judith Ann Spenard Pausley, whom he married on May 20, 1967.

He enjoyed time with his family, model trains, genealogy, traveling, and "all things Catholic Central.”  He was a volunteer in all of their activities and served on the CCHS School Board, including time as President and Chairman of their Bingo for 25 years.   Dean was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church, Troy and earlier a longtime communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Lansingburgh.

In addition to his beloved wife Judy, Dean is the devoted father of Jennifer Anna (Edward) Morrissey of Johnsonville, NY, Dean Matthew (Delina) Pausley of Troy, NY, Darcie Ann (Joshua) Beecher of St. Petersburg, FL and Matthew Edmond (Laura) Pausley of Holly Springs, NC; brother of William (Donna) Pausley of Scotia, NY and Caroline Borger of Selkirk, NY; also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held on Wednesday morning at 9:30 at Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy,  55 N. Lake Avenue (at Marshland Court) Troy, NY 12180

Calling hours will be from 4-7 pm Tuesday in the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Central High School 625 - 7th. Avenue Troy, New York 12182
