Obituary of Kewal Matta

     Kewal Matta, 81, died on Tuesday April 16th at Albany Medical Hospital. She was born on July 29, 1938 in India and was the daughter of late Munshi Ram and Parmeshwari Devi. She was the beloved wife of Om Parkash Matta and they spent 65 years together. She is the mother of five children,  Sushma Kumar and Dharam Kumar, Paraveen Matta and Neelam Matta, Parvesh Matta and Jyoti Matta, Pardeep Matta and Jyoti Matta, and Vipan Matta and Niti Matta. She had 12 grandkids Manish Kumar and Dayse Kumar, Neil Kumar and Purvi Kumar, Priya Khurana and Amit Khurana, Rohit Matta and Shonaya Matta, Ankit Matta, Honey Matta and Vaneeta Matta, Atul Matta, Rishabh Matta, Shriya Matta, Neha Drishti Matta, Shivam Matta, and Siddhi Matta. She had 7 great-grandkids Ishan Kumar, Shivam Kumar, Simran Kumar, Maya Kumar, Siya Kumar, Krishna Kumar, and Angel Khurana. Siddhi Matta is her best friend and granddaughter. She lived a happy and beautiful life with a loving family.

     Please join us at her wake on April 17 from 6-8 at Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 Clifton Park, NY 12065.  The funeral will be on April 18 from 12-2 at Gardner Earl Memorial Chapel and Crematorium at Oakwood Cemetery where the cremation will occur, 186 Oakwood Avenue Troy 12182. After that the ceremony will occur in Niskayuna Gurudwara, 1944 Union Street Schenectady, NY 12309.
