I feel very fortunate to have had the chance to meet Ed and spend time talking to him about The Mets, baseball, travel and other interests. After his discharge in the spring he thanked me for spending time with him and helping to take his mind off of his illness. Little did he know that it was I who had the good fortune to be able to spend time with such an interesting and kind person. I was saddened to hear of his passing and I send my deepest sympathy to all who had the good fortune to know this wonderful man.

Mr. Ed Peck was my middle school history teacher and always did the morning announcements. Every day walking into class he had a big smile. He was always personable and made the time to talk. He was the only teacher that made history come to life. Mrs. Peck and he was the only teachers who cared.

We are all so saddened to learn of Mr. Peck's passing, especially Diana. We have been praying for him, and are so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful man whose life touched so many. His kindness will always be remembered. He always went of out of his way to make a difference....Diana still speaks about the 8th grade dinner cruise where he "was her date" and when he and Mrs. Langley-Peck took time out of one of their Saturday nights to come to her birthday party. He was more than just a teacher....he was a friend, and helped make many days great for her. .
To the family, please know that others care and are sharing your grief. May happy memories help get you through the difficult days ahead and bring you comfort.
RIP Mr. Peck.
With our sincerest condolences,
Millie Fuller

My Condolences to Mr Pecks Family. I am saddened to hear of Eds passing, I could not have asked for a better teacher and mentor for my son. He gave him guidance and the self confidence to succeed at school and his pursuit for a higher education. Mr Peck was a blessing for me and my children. It was an Honor to have known such a selfless man. RIP Ed as you will be truly missed.

This is just so, so sad to hear. Peck was one of the best teachers I ever had. In fact, he may have been the best. He had a style of teaching that was unique and very effective. More than that though, he was kind and compassionate. I felt welcomed when I came into his classroom, and I know so many others did as well. Papa Peck was a good man and and he will be dearly missed.

I only knew Ed for a short time when he became part of our "Grey Wolves" luncheons. I could not help but notice he was always cheerful and a positive thinker. I understand how he could tell others to "go out and make it a great day." That is the person I will remember. Positive and "Peck strong." We will not forget him.

Can't really express what this loss means to me; Ed was a member of our breakfast club for the past nine years every Tuesday. Always contributing baseball stats, political views, travel suggestions and tips, and especially any national and world problems that had to be solved from week to week !! Ed was also a world renowned "beer aficionado" - especially the Stouts and IPA's - he gladly showed me the light ! My years with Special Ed at Tamarac were all the better because of his friendship and helpfulness - he always had a smile, always placed his/our students' well being first - never missed the morning announcements, especially the table-top baseball scores. To you my friend, adios - safe travels - Al

God rest his Soul, a good man. I will never forget his kindness to me as the new kid in 8th grade.
I felt so special when he invited me to tabletop baseball. I am sorry to hear of his passing.
I cherish my signed copy of his book, but more importantly I cherish the memory I have of him, and the positive impact he had on my life story. Helping me feel accepted and comfortable when I was the new kid at T-rac.
Sorry for your loss, my prayers for his soul, his family and all the kids he taught at school.
Mr. Peck always emphasized the importance of education, and how important it was. He even told my 8th grade class that he talked to Senator Bruno and told him the value of education and how much it meant to him ( a whole lot and more). What a guy
God Bless
Always,

The Church Family is truly saddened by the news. Mr Peck and I shared the passion for baseball and I was lucky enough to spend extra time learning a new game and this made my school years more fun.
My nephew several years later also participated in Mr Pecks baseball program and he became a great friend and mentor for Jacob. He will be missed but not forgotten. Mr. Peck a teacher and a friend!
